"They'll Never Forget What They Saw"
The images haunt them every moment—burnt bodies, the smell of clotted blood, charred remains. They saw how their friends fought with bare hands, without weapons, against merciless terrorists. The memories of those desperate final moments are seared into their minds, refusing to fade.
From the massacre, they moved on, almost mechanically, to the battle in Gaza, driven by a vow to erase this cruel enemy. Yet, the pain persisted. The enemy continued its attacks, tormenting us emotionally by holding dozens of hostages while their fate remains unknown.
During this campaign, they lost brothers-in-arms, suffered injuries, and bore scars—both visible and hidden. Some soldiers feel they were buried alongside their fallen comrades, alongside the infants, children, and parents who perished beside them in those horrific moments.
They returned from battle, but they are no longer the same. They went to war as one person and came back as someone else entirely, as though their identity had been exchanged. Meeting these heroic soldiers, you can see the faraway look in their eyes, the moments when they drift in the middle of a conversation. Their families speak of men who are no longer who they once were—fathers who wake up in the night screaming, punching their pillows, and reliving the fight.
The trauma extends beyond soldiers. Hundreds of volunteers and civilians who witnessed these atrocities—scenes unparalleled since the Holocaust—are silently suffering among us. Many feel ashamed to ask for help, their untreated wounds festering. Tragically, some could no longer bear the overwhelming pain and, feeling abandoned, ended their lives.
For over a decade, the "Hakol Mehalev" organization has been at the forefront of providing care—both physical and emotional. Since the war began, they ve launched a comprehensive rehabilitation program for traumatized soldiers, volunteers, and civilians. This effort includes professional support teams offering one-on-one care, support groups, therapeutic activities, and events designed to help these heroes find their way back to a semblance of normalcy.
We cannot forget their sacrifices. Those who fought on the front lines and witnessed unspeakable horrors deserve our gratitude and unwavering support. Its our responsibility to ensure they receive proper treatment and financial aid to help them and their families rebuild their lives!
Please open your hearts and help us bring them back to life.
